This style aims to awaken the WHOLE body to a new state of self-consciousness, to balance the flow of life force energy, or Qi, that underlies and energizes all of our functions, bringing and maintaining health and strength.
Dario is committed to exceeding expectations, both in terms of the treatments provided and levels of customer service.
What to expect for your first session:
During the hands-on part of your session, the therapist will apply pressure over the surface of your body using her finger tips and thumbs. The amount of pressure and the pressure points to which pressure is applied is based on your needs during that particular session.
Shiatsu is a Japanese word meaning “finger pressure”. Shiatsu technique refers to the use of fingers and palms of one’s hands to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the purpose of correcting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health. It is also a method contributing to the healing of specific illnesses.
In Shiatsu the approach to any form of dis-ease, dis-comfort, pain or suffering is holistic in nature. “illness” is thought as to result from imbalances in the natural flow of Life Energy known as Qi or Chi throughout the body. By stimulating and harmonizing the natural flow of the Vital Force throughout the body allows the body to “heal itself”.
